CASA Winthrop: Nonprofit Public Relations Strategy

In my Nonprofit Public Relations course, I worked directly with CASA Winthrop, a community-based nonprofit supporting youth and families, serving as part of their external PR team. Through multiple client meetings with Executive Director Amy Epstein, we assessed CASA’s communications challenges and identified the need for sustainable, long-term PR infrastructure rather than one-off campaigns. Our team created a comprehensive, living style guide for long-form content, covering blog posts, LinkedIn messaging, and website copy to ensure consistency across platforms.

We also developed LinkedIn post templates, a content reservoir, and a step-by-step growth SOP to help CASA strengthen partnerships, engage donors, and expand community reach over time. To support donor awareness, we designed a postcard featuring a QR code that directs audiences to a FlipSnack impact book. This project highlights my experience in nonprofit client collaboration, strategic communications planning, and building scalable PR systems for mission-driven organizations.
