About Sonya Pesselev

Hi!

My name is Sonya Pesselev. I am a recent Boston University College of Communications graduate with a B.S. in Public Relations. Over the past four years, I have gained experience in Social and Influencer Marketing at a Miami agency, Investor Relations at a Venture Capital Firm, Political Communications in a State Representative's office, and Integrated Marketing for an electric-mobility startup in Dubai. Now, I am attending NYU School of Professional Studies, where I will receive a Master's in Integrated Marketing in May 2028.

I have also been developing my AI start-up, [tLH] — The Lazy Hedgehog, an AI-copiloted web builder for personal websites. Built around each individual's creative identity, [tLH] helps students, young professionals, and anyone with a story to tell create a website that showcases their personality, taste, and skills. Most people don't have a personal site that reflects who they are, and the tools to make one are fragmented across inspiration boards, design tools, AI chat bots, and separate site builders. [tLH] brings all of that into one platform where you can design and build with full creative control. The platform integrates the Pinterest API to pull in your saved pins, the Anthropic API to give you an AI assistant for creative direction, and a visual canvas where you can sketch your dream UI or build an inspo board, which the AI reads and turns into a live site you can publish and share.

I am passionate about building my career in Creative Brand Strategy and Influencer Marketing, where I can use my experience to tell a brand's story in a unique, authentic, and creative way that helps viewers connect with the brand beyond just clicks. I am inspired by campaigns that make people laugh, like the Coors Light "Case of the Mondays" Super Bowl campaign, encourage people to reconnect with their own creativity, like the Crayola "Returning Creativity" Campaign, and invite people to feel that a brand fits into their world and trust it like a friend's recommendation, like Dove's "Project Baddie" campaign.
